(Settings → Linked devices). You only scan once; restarts reconnect automatically.
To use a different phone on the same slot: Unlink device then
Connect again (new QR). Or Remove the slot and

Format: country code + mobile, e.g. 918249012881 (no + or spaces).
Counts toward daily warmup quota.
What “good” looks like
1. Gateway health = ok 2. From number status = connected 3. Send returns status sent and a waMessageId 4. Recipient phone shows the WhatsApp text within a few seconds
If send fails with session_not_connected, open Numbers and Connect/pair again.
